Discover Your Family's Story

Our experienced research team has more than 30 years of combined experience in genealogy and historical research. We don't simply build family trees, we uncover the lives behind the names.

Every research project is tailored to your individual interests. Using a wide range of historical sources, including census returns, military records, parish registers, newspapers, maps and archival documents, we piece together the story of your ancestors and place their lives within the wider historical events of their time.

Whether you're completely new to genealogy or have been researching your family for years, we'll provide a professional, personalised service designed to answer your questions and reveal new discoveries.

Each package includes a detailed written report supported by historical documents and images where available. Once your research is complete, we'll arrange either an online presentation or an in-person meeting (where practical) to guide you through our findings, answer your questions and help you understand your family's remarkable story.

Our Research Packages

See below for some of our standard packages and pricing. If one of these doesn't fit your needs, feel free to drop us a message and we will work with you to create a project that fits your needs!

At Passport to the Past we are also happy to take on a whole range of more bespoke research projects, whether that be looking into a specific ancestor and creating a research package, helping filling blanks in family trees or even diving into the the history of your family home.

Feel free to get in touch and will create a bespoke package and price depending on your needs and desired outcomes. Our friendly team will happily talk with you to help ensure that we can meet your genealogy goals! We understand that every family story is different, and that telling a family's story might not fit into a perfect package like the ones above!
